You'd never believe what goes into a product.

Ingredients, price, nutritional guidelines, legal disclaimers, weight, size, barcodes, palette sizes, outer boxes, transportation, use by dates, importing, exporting, shelf space, competition, product surveys, retailers, wholesalers..and we haven't even started on the design.

Designing and Marketing a product, getting it onto the shelves and selling is a real art. It usually requires a fair amount of initial market research and conceptualisation before we can even start to design. Once the packaging has been designed it then need to be subjected to further of surveying before we can be confident that the product will sell.

But it also happens to be one of our favourite areas to work in, simply because of the complexity. As a problem solving company there's nothing more satisfying than seeing a product that you designed get put into someone's shopping bag. Over the years we have designed a number of products including books, sticker machines and household cleaning products to instant mashed potato, chilli sauces and organic plant feed.

They all require the same attention to detail, market research and design capabilities to make them successful. Is there a formula to a successful product? We like to think so.
